According to rumors, Mauricio Pochettino has already decided which striker he wants to buy this summer in preparation for his impending appointment as the new Chelsea manager.
The West London club and the Argentine have finally reached a complete understanding for the latter to assume management of Stamford Bridge alongside his regular backroom staff after several weeks of negotiations.
Pochettino is said to have substantial influence over Chelsea's acquisition plan and will work to bring in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, per the Daily Mail.
Amazingly, Chelsea really has a negative goal differential and has scored 36 goals in the Premier League, which is less than half of what Arsenal and Manchester City have scored.
The West Londoners, who have had difficulty scoring goals this season, are in desperate need of a forward.

Kai Havertz, an attacking midfielder, leads the team in goals scored with seven; no one other player has more than three, and the only other teams with less prolific top scorers are West Ham and Wolves.
Chelsea's decision-makers had already identified a fresh, seasoned goalscorer as a key addition this summer even before they secured Pochettino.
They continue to be interested in Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, who leads Serie A in scoring, but Pochettino would rather sign Martinez.
With his most recent goal against Sassuolo, the Inter forward has 20 goals on the season and is only three goals behind Osimhen in the scoring statistics.
Martinez, the World Cup winner, has two goals in the Champions League and five assists, which amounts to one goal involvement every 96 minutes.
The Argentine striker, who was recently linked with a move to Pochettino's former club Spurs, is seen to fit in nicely with Chelsea's current attacking options and new attacker Christopher Nkunku.
Romelu Lukaku, who may have a future at Stamford Bridge and will chat with Pochettino about a potential role in the club, also gets along well with Martinez.
The new Chelsea manager wants to add a center-forward, a holding midfielder (Declan Rice is on Chelsea's want list), and a new goalkeeper, and Mason Mount will be courted for a contract extension by Pochettino.
